The Secret Armory of General Knoxx

Mine, mine, aaaand mine!

After purchasing two add-ons for Borderlands (The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned & Secret Armory of General Knoxx). Its time for my review!

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned

First and foremost, I wouldn't recommend getting Zombie Island Add-on,story aside, the difficulty for this add-on was at most easy. Lets face it, pitting yourself against hordes of walking zombies isn't hard. All one have to do is stand far away and blast away your prefered weapon of choice with fire elemental.
The little variants of new enemies doesn't quite enforce you to depart US$10 for this add-on. Yeah, there are were-skags,bats and frankensteins. Unless you are a fan of the occult, wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Secret Armory of General Knoxx

The latest add-on by Gearbox was a huge improvement compared from the first. The level cap is raised to 61 (more skill points!) and you shall perish more often.

Firstly, we have a new rarity type of weapons, behold the 'PEARLESCENT' weapons. Its odds of obtaining it is way harder than the Legendary 'Orange' weapons. Good luck getting it!

Secondly, not only did they introduce new yet harder-to-kill enemies, we have new vehicles to drive in! Now we have to deal with huge bug creatures which can wipe out your shields in a single hit, but with ninja like assassins, flying drones and huge tanks.

Thirdly, they didn't stop there with the monsters. They put up a challenge for everyone. The motherload of all boss fights, the Invincible Crewmax, at Level 64 (thats right!) with its croonies at about level 61-63. The payoff? Higher chance of obtaining pearlescent weapons!

Last but not least, the SECRET ARMORY of course! After ending General Knoxx's miserable life, you have to 2 mins to scrape whatever items you find in the armory before the whole place goes BOOM!(well there's a glitch,go youtube it!)

My verdict? worth the US$10, especially with this much content. Go get it..now!

The King has RETURNED

Fans of Blazblue Continuum Shift,Tekken 6 and Street Fighter 4,stand back for the favourite female ninja has returned!

On March 25, SNK Playmore announced the preview of KOF XIII. With the flop from the previous series,KOF XII. It return back the prior successful series, in addition are the new gameplay systems :

1) EX Mode, which convert each characters' super moves into more powerful versions that allows one bar from power gauge for EX Special Moves and two bars from your power gauge for EX Desperation Moves.

2) Hyper Drive mode, which gives the player unlimited use of Drive Cancels for a while once the Hyper Drive Gauge has been maxed

3) Drive Cancel system, which opens up new combo possibilities.

It will be in the arcades this summer. Another nice detail is Mai Shiranui's new VA is none other than.....Koshimizu Ami (most Otakus would know her as Haramura Nodoka or Kallen Stadtfeld in Code Geass)

Here are some previews of KOF fans out there

Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude,a german word for taking pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.  YOU KNOW IT :)
Return to RAPTURE!

BIOSHOCK 2 : Sea of Dreams

Once again, we return back to the city of Rapture, the supposed utopia for scientific advancements which fell into a spiral of destruction. Despite the end of Frank Fotaine, the city is still the same, but now, another rose to be its leader. Sofia Lamb.

The story this time puts you as THE prototype BIG DADDY, you were forced to see your LITTLE SISTER being taken away and commit suicide. 10 years later, you're revived and receive psychic messages from your LITTLE SISTER. Now its payback time....

The gameplay hasn't changed much from the previous installment. Enhancing yourself with various plamids (favourite is nonetheless freezing), obtaining new gene tonics, deciding the fate of your enemies and LITTLE SISTERS you adopt throughout the game.

One nice addition is the introduction of a new opponent, BIG SISTERS. These SISTERS are the BIG DADDIES polar opposites, they're more agile and a prick to handle with their plasmids. However their appearance is rather predictable and they're too few.
It was great with the changes to the hacking system,no more do we have to deal with the 'connect the pipes',but now its in real-time,so it ain't easy hacking a security gun with its drones or splicers trying to gun you down.

For replay value is the MULTIPLAYER function. Pitting yourself against others,to harvest their ADAMS to gain more abilities, and other forms of competition like the Capture the sister, Civil War and Last Splicer Standing.

So for all Bioshock fans out there, whilst the gameplay is too short for the story is a tad too little, its still worth it for its multiplayer function. (Here's a video of Bioshock 1's good ending,touching....)

gLee

gLee
What is gLee?
It is a choir which specializes in singing short songs.

Synopsis
The show focus on a ex-glee teacher who wishes to revive the declining club of his high school.

Think of High School Musical with less irritating cast and proper artistes with broadway experience or skills to sing, dance & act. At first I casted my doubts that a musical themed US series will get the viewership it desire, but I was surprised after watching the 2nd episode(I missed the first). It also shows how's life like for misfits in US school to bond together, furthermore the 'popular ones' fall from grace(talking about the jockeys and cheerleaders). They talk about love, lies, ambitions, and what kids would be facing in school. Belting out show tunes and chart hits from different types of genres well, High School Musical is a pale comparison to this show in terms of music. This show is a great light-hearted show for those that wish to draw away from the mainstream series like LOST,24 and HEROES.

Degradation of CNY ?

Has CNY lost its traditional values?

As we celebrate the year of the tiger (hence the picture),I pose this question, how different was your celebrations when you were young and now?

Has the holiday lost most of its tradition? Generations before us,Singaporeans celebrated the festive holiday by donning on red clothes, firecracks, preparing new year goodies, decorating homes with red articles (especially the inverted fu )and visiting many relatives.
However in the current generation, we merely show up in whatever clothes we deem suitable, with decorations and goodies easily purchase at any supermarts and visiting every relatives in a single day.
Where are the days where we take our time celebrating the new year on the few days of festivity? Now I see more chinese teenagers are working on the 2nd day of CNY. Has the idea of obtaining more money gotten into our heads?
What will happen in the future for CNY? Will more Singaporeans think CNY as a mere public holiday that will phase by and forget the real meaning of it? (which is to reflect on our past and what we believed)

Human Observation #1

. LACK OF AWARENESS

My encounters had led me to believe people are very slow in terms of processing visual information.
One example would be, a narrow corridor in a packed shopping mall. A crowd of sloths stand in the middle and start talking, despite several people accidentally nudging them just to get across. These people couldn't care less and merely glared at the passer-bys as if they are never in a wrong.
Another could be eating on the train, I saw a young man, stuffing down a bread whilst watching his PSP,sitting down on the floor. Not only is he blocking people way,but he is doing something which is illegal.
One might argue that when confronted, they could reason, "If these people are bothered by it,why won't they tell us?" Only a small crowd would only either realised or after being told they are creating a nuisance then they correct their error. Yes,everyone has a part to play in common courtesy,so why not start from ourselves rather than wait for another to act first.

P.S Speak nicely to the people who were unaware of their errors. Yelling at them as if they owe you isn't going to solve anything. In fact, it puts you in a bad light. :)

. FEEL THE BREATHE DOWN YOUR NECK

Another scene, I was at a fast food chain restaurant. People are queuing no doubt. I saw this person standing real close to the person in front ordering his/her food. I could even say half the body was leaning against the counter. I do not understand why one must go so close? In my opinion,I feel it is a invasion of personal space. Is it to shave a few seconds off to walk to a few steps towards the counter after the person in front leaves? It is a mystery....

.The Kiasu Factor

Recently seen elderly people often rushed right in front of the mrt train entrances, blocking or forcing people who wished to alight at the stop to squeeze through. We endured so much noise pollution from the PCK courtesy advertisements that kept playing non-stop at the MRT platforms. Teenagers and adults seem to get across the message but why the elderly? do they fear there wouldn't be enough seats for them? However, we see people giving up seats for those that need it.

A Perfectionist's Notion

A perfectionist is never satisfied, even with himself! A perfectionist's friends can never live up to his expectations. I had learn this the hard way, which reminded me of a scene in Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.

Anakin Skywalker : My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.
Count Dooku : Good. Twice the pride, double the fall.

Yes,one can very well use the exact same lines for expectations. I created a formula just for this.

Yes,the greater the pride, the greater the fall when he is defeated.
A lesson to be learn here, never ever be arrogant,be humble as a pie,
never be too stubborn to accept new things.

A Message to Future

To all my fellow readers, the once indifferent boy has returned!

Here is my message to my future me and any other readers!
People say never look back, only walk forward. I say to these people, keep your opinions to yourself! I decided to revive my blog just to post things that will be about my observations in life and not to tell the whole world what is going on in MY LIFE (only stupid teenagers and PAST ZACH does that.)
I glanced past what was the very idiocracy I was, and it made me realised, I had done alot of stupid things in the past which made remember never ever to do those again! So a message to u, the past is always full of mistakes, so look back, learn what you can before moving forward.

Cheers

In Good Company...

Behold My Spamming Abilities!

After lecture,I went for breakfast while waiting for the arcade to open. After that,a bunch of us(JJSD,Daniel,Wilson,Sam & I) went there to kill time as later on they were having lessons.

I decided to show Dan I was capable to finishing Agnus Dei Advanced. Once I play finish the song. Dan went 'Hail! The One-Arm Spammer!' LOL. I decided to try Agnus Dei Extreme but failed halfway...T_T

More PPL MORE FUN!

The previous time they came to the arcade and tried Drum mania V.They got hooked onto it,thus seeing 5 credits pumped into the machine. It was crazy as whoever completes a song, the whole crowd would start cheering loudly! Sometimes they were dying then the Indian Drummer to the rescue!

Rushing into the scene, using his hands to smack the drums to save the victim of poor hand-eye coordination!

Are People Blind?

I had seen quite a no. of accidents that is happening. It appear people are freakin blind!Why....I dunno...maybe because they seem to cut into the queue when there is a bloody queue behind him/her!! One example, just now there was this faggot in Pastamania,he suddenly jump right in front of the queue without seeing us and the people behind us queuing. The good thing was the counter he went to was closed just before he arrived so he had to go to the back of the queue. HAHA...SUCKER! SERVES YOU RIGHT YOU FREAKIN CB FACE!
